Pretoria: The Gauteng government has announced the launch of Izimbizo Wednesdays, a new initiative designed to facilitate direct engagement between residents and key government figures, including MECs, Executive Mayors, and senior officials. These sessions aim to address service delivery, provincial priorities, and community-specific issues.
According to South African Government News Agency, the initiative is part of the provincial government's commitment to the Growing Gauteng Together 2030 (GGT2030) vision. The government stated that the Izimbizo Wednesdays will help in fostering meaningful partnerships with communities, enhancing service delivery, creating economic opportunities, and building a safer, more inclusive, and prosperous Gauteng.
