Riyadh: The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, welcomed the significant decision made by the government and parliament of Slovenia to recognize the state of Palestine. He emphasized that this step signifies the international community's acknowledgement of the Palestinian people's rights and will contribute to their attainment of all their legal and legitimate rights. Albudaiwi also commended Slovenia's decision to recognize the State of Palestine, stating that it underscores their commitment to upholding international laws and agreements and their support for ending the conflict in the Middle East. He reiterated the importance of achieving a comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and the resolutions of international legitimacy.
