Tunis: The German competence centre for electronics and software engineering, the senior embedded developer Habemus Solutions, which has been operating in Sfax since 2020, announced on April 15, 2024, the opening of a second office in Tunis, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia) announced on Tuesday. The announcement was made by Habemus Solutions Managing Director Gottfried Fisher, who talked about "the propitious environment for developing digital activities and conquering new horizons from Tunisia," during a meeting in Tunis with FIPA-Tunisia Managing Director Jalel Tebib. "Our company is delighted to have found high-level skills and a conducive regulatory framework in Tunisia, helping us envisage the future under the best possible auspices. From the Tunisian hub, our development prospects could easily extend to Europe, Africa and the Middle East," said Fischer. With this new facility, Habemus is increasing "its employment potential to some forty engineers between Sfax and Tunis." With an annual growth rate of nearly 11%, the digital sector accounts for 4.3% of GDP and ranks among the top 3 sectors with strong potential for attracting international companies, alongside the automotive and aeronautical components and textile-clothing sectors.
