Ennahdha President Rached Ghannouchi and his son-in-law Rafik Abdessalem were sentenced to three years in prison. The sentence was handed by the Tunis Court of First Instance Financial Corruption Criminal Chamber. The Court also imposed a fine of US 1.170,470 million, or its equivalent in TND, on the party over the reception of foreign financial donations, court spokesperson Mohamed Zitouna told TAP.
