Boosting Tunisian-Iranian cooperation in the health field was the focus of a meeting held, Tuesday, in Tunis, between Health Minister, Ali Mrabit, and Iranian Deputy Minister of Health, Hussein Farshidi. Mrabit expressed Tunisia's readiness to support the exchange of expertise with Iran in a number of specialties, namely cardiovascular surgery, especially in children, and the fight against cancerous diseases, in addition to supporting partnership in the pharmaceutical industry sector, production of vaccines and serums, training, and medical research, reads a statement of the Health Ministry. The Iranian guest welcomed the level of Tunisian-Iranian relations, praising Tunisian medical competencies. The meeting was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tunisia, Mohammad Aliabadi, Consul at the Embassy, Azamo Sadat Mir Qadri, and officials from the Ministry, the same source said.
