Tunis: Nasr Chalgoda, owned by Bechir Harrari (Libya), and jockey Omar Marzouki Sunday won the Grand Prix of Purebred Arabian Horses. The 2000m race, worth TND 127,500 dinars, saw the participation of 20 horses and mares in Ksar Said Hippodrome. Asayel and rider Khalid Aziz won Carthage Grand Prix of Purebread Arabian Horses (TND 102,000); sixteen horses and mares participated in the 2000m race. Omar Marzouki's Brametot Lux won the Grand Prix of the Revolution and Youth for English thoroughbred colts and fillies (TND 59,50). Nine colts and 9 fillies participated. Al Barqua mare won the final race of Berber and Arab-Barb (or Arabian-Berber) breed organised with the participation of 15 horses over 200m. The prize of the National Anti-Doping Agency (French: ANAD) for Arabian colts and fillies (TND 10,200,000 dinars) went to Marmaret El Bouraque and her jockey Mohammed Nefzi in a 1600m race. Mare Eclaire bagged the late Ahmed Kaddour Prize for English colts and fillies (2000m), while Hannabal Al Kassr dominat ed the 1600m race of Berber and Arab-Barb colts and fillies in which 14 horses participated.
