Integrated Service System Receives Yemeni Pilgrims at Al-Wadiah Port and Pilgrims City


Najran, Amid a well-coordinated system, continuous efforts, and 24/7 work, government, private, and volunteer organizations in Al-Wadiah Port and Pilgrims City are actively receiving pilgrims arriving from the Republic of Yemen via the port. They are facilitating and completing their entry procedures into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year, 1445 AH, enabling them to perform their rituals with ease, simplicity, and peace of mind. The pilgrims’ faces light up with happiness and joy as they leave the port on their way to Makkah and Madinah.

Government agencies are making significant and tangible efforts to serve pilgrims. The region’s health department provides all health and preventive services, including medical examinations for pilgrims and immunization against epidemic diseases. It provides pilgrims with treatment in addition to necessary medicines, vaccines, and preventive services. It also offers educational and awareness publications on health and preventive practices in Hajj, along with ava
ilable medical and non-medical equipment and highly equipped ambulances to provide necessary services to pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Najran’s branch of the General Directorate of Passports harnessed its capabilities to facilitate the completion of pilgrims’ entry procedures, enabling them to cross in record time and without delay. The port’s customs provides its services to the pilgrims, including preparing special tracks for pilgrim transport buses, giving them priority in completing entry procedures, and raising the port’s operational capacity to receive pilgrims and facilitate their entry.

The Najran Region branch of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) participates in receiving pilgrims by providing medical emergency services, educational and awareness materials on first aid, and raising readiness in the centers leading to Makkah to provide all emergency services.

The administrative and preaching teams of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance’s branch in the region work to guide and facilita
te the entry of pilgrims into the Kingdom’s territories by educating and informing them about the conditions and etiquette of Hajj, answering their inquiries, facilitating their tasks, and distributing brochures and booklets that contribute to guiding and educating the pilgrim about the provisions of the rituals and explaining the “Rushd” application provided by the ministry to the beneficiaries of its services from the pilgrims.

The Najran branch of the General Presidency of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (CPVPV) participates in receiving pilgrims, distributing educational and awareness publications, and establishing an integrated educational and awareness exhibition in the pilgrims’ rest area. Meanwhile, Highway Security Special Forces play their role in accompanying the convoy of pilgrim buses from Al-Wadiah Port to the pilgrims’ rest area until they exit the borders of the Najran region at Sultanah Center.

Volunteers provide around-the-clock humanitarian services a
t the port and Hajj City in Al-Wadiah by distributing meals and providing humanitarian assistance to the elderly and sick out of their sense of duty and national and community responsibility towards the Kingdom’s guests of pilgrims.

For their part, the Yemeni pilgrims expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince for their interest and keenness toward the comfort of pilgrims from all over the world to perform their rituals with ease, confirming that the warm reception and generous hospitality are not strange to the people of the Kingdom. They pointed out that the distinguished services provided and the excellent organization and the professional work of the agencies working in the port and Pilgrims City contributed to completing their entry procedures quickly and with complete comfort, asking God Almighty to continue to bless the Kingdom with its security and stability.
