A call for projects for Tunisian enterpreneurs in Tunisia and Tunisian expatriates in Germany, Côte d'Ivoire, France, Italy and Saudi Arabia was launched by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia. This is the second phase of the IOM's diaspora investment project, «Migration as a Resource: Mobilising the Tunisian Diaspora and Stabilising Disadvantaged Communities in Tunisia (Mobi-TRE)» initiated in partnership with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and in close collaboration with institutional partners.. Mobi-TRE, which targets Tunisian entrepreneurs in Tunisia and expatriate investors, offers the opportunity to support innovative initiatives which contribute to Tunisia's economic development while strengthening ties between migration and development, the organisation said. This is also an opportunity to foster exchange with entrepreneurs and investors, boraden their network and discover fruitful opportunities of collaboration. The project and call for projects w ill be presented during six workshops slated to be held on January 15-24 in Jendouba (January 15), El Kef (January 16), Kairouan (January 17), Gabès (January 18), Médenine (January 23) and Tataouine (January 24). These workshops are intended to help entrepreneurs prepare their applications and apply on Hajti Bik platform. Two oneline information sessions are scheduled on January 17 and 24 for Tunisians abroad. Applications are open on January 15-February 29. The IOM said it targets projects with the potential to generate permanent jobs, reduce poverty and contribute to Tunisia's economic growth.
