Tunis: The updating of the electoral register in Tunisia and abroad and the development of new digital services ahead of the next electoral events were the focus of a working session organised on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Independent High Authority for Elections. During the meeting, participants discussed the new mobile application that will be used in the different stages of the electoral process, with the aim of facilitating the registration of voters and the updating of data, and providing all necessary information. An agreement was reached to organise a weekly meeting, every Tuesday, to monitor the progress of the preparations. The working session, which was chaired by ISIE President Farouk Bouasker, was attended by ISIE vice-president, Naoufel Frikha, as well as the heads of the Central Directorate of Information Systems and the Central Directorate of electoral operations within the electoral body. According to the Electoral Authority, the total number of registered voters in Tunisia and abr oad reached 9,136,502 voters last January. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
