ISIE to hold information days with local council members

The Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) announced on Thursday that it will hold information days in the various governorates of Tunisia on February 23-25 with the members of the newly elected local councils. The information days will focus on finalising the process of setting up the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD) and will be chaired by the ISIE President and members of its Council, according to a press release issued by the Authority. Organised over two rounds on December 24, 2023 and February 4, 2024, a total of 2,434 members were elected to 279 local councils. The three-day information days will start on February 23 in the governorate of Gafsa, followed by two meetings on February 24 in the governorates of Sidi Bouzid and Kairouan.
