Tunis: Four Daughters' by Kaouther Ben Hania clinched the Best Director award at the 14th edition of the Malmo Arab Film Festival (MAFF) in Sweden. A film project by director Sarra Abidi "Wear and Tear" secured three awards within the Post-Production Platform of the 10th edition of MAFF Industry Days (MID), held April 23-26. The full list of winners of MAFF, organised on April 22-28, was unveiled on Sunday night during a ceremony at the Royal Cinema in Malmö. "Four Daughters," Ben Hania's 5th feature film, is a co-production between Tunisia (Cinetelefilms prod), France, Saudi Arabia, and Germany. This film premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival (May 16-27, 2023) and was Tunisia's entry for the 2024 Oscars. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
