The Anaesthesia, Intensive Care unit at the Kef local hospital has been upgraded to a university department, local health director, Tarek Rajhi, told TAP on Wednesday. According to a decree published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic (JORD), the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit has been upgraded to a university department. This measure will increase the number of university departments at the Kef local hospital to four departments, namely Orthopaedics, Nephrology, Medical Intensive Care and, finally, Intensive Care and Anaesthesia. In the same context, another department, the Emergency Department will be operational by the end of January and will be equipped with an MRI scanner, Rajhi said. The new department will provide medical services in the areas of radiology, medical analysis and emergency medicine. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
