Tunisian Yassine Guennichi won the gold medal in the shot put (F36 category) on Tuesday morning, on day 5 at the Kobe 2024 Para Athletics World Championships held in Japan. Guennichi threw 16m33, ahead of Russia's Alain Kokoati (16m18) and Vladimir Sviridov (15m91). This was Tunisia's second gold medal at these World Championships, following Raoua Tlili's in the shot put (F41). For his part, sprinter Rouay Jebabli took silver in the 1500m (T13) after clocking 3:51:77 behind Russia's Anton Kolyatin, who won the gold medal with a time of 3:51:39.
