Two candidates are running in the second round of local elections in El Garci. , Enfidha (Sousse), namely Bouraoui Achour (266 votes in the first round) and Ali Bouhali (150 votes). Bouraoui pledged to relaunch stalled projects, including a primary school and a mineral water plant, and call for the creation of a middle school and a local hospital. He also said he would seek to attract investors in the region and repair rural tracks. There is need to embed the principles of transparency and effective citizen participation in political life, he said, and promote the culture of accountability. His rival, Ali Bouhali, said upgrading basic infrastructure is a top priority in his election platform along with tapping into water resources to create an irrigation zone.
