The new documentary film "Looking for my Mother," written and directed by Anis Lassoued, clinched the Jury Prize at the 11th edition of the Muscat International Film Festival. The winners of this 2024 edition held in Muscat, Oman, from March 3 to 7, were unveiled Thursday evening at the headquarters of the "Oman Film Society" in Muscat. Looking for my Mother was produced in 2024 by Qatari channel Al Jazeera Documentary and Lumière Films as the executive producer," producer Chema Ben Chaabane told TAP. "Looking for my Mother" by Anis Lassoued and "Elgotra" by Younes Ben Hajria were both among the 11 films in the Documentary Competition, bringing together films representing Morocco (3), Tunisia (2), Iraq (1) and Oman (1).
