The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure Minister, Dean Macpherson, and the City of Cape Town Executive Mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis, are expected to embark on a tour to neglected and hijacked departmental-owned buildings in Cape Town. 'The Minister and the Mayor are committed to working together to find long-term solutions to these buildings to ensure that they are used for the public good and contribute to the overall economic growth and job creation in the city,' said the department. The two are set to visit 2 Keizersgracht Street which has fallen into disrepair and has been occupied, the Hout Bay Harbour and Waterloo Green in Wynberg which has slowly been stripped over many years.
