Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy, Fatma Thabet Chiboub, met on Wednesday in Tunis with a delegation from French automotive technology group "FORVIA", to examine the group's investment prospects in Tunisia, particularly in high-tech sectors, according to a press release issued by the ministry. During the meeting, the minister underlined the ministry's interest in developing this promising sector as part of the implementation of the partnership charter signed between the public and private sectors to promote the competitiveness of the automotive components and equipment industry by 2027. The French group is present in 33 countries, with 257 production sites and more than 111,000 jobs. The Tunisian subsidiary was created in 2009 and currently employs more than 700 people.
