Makkah: Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser made a field visit today to Makkah Region, where he checked preparations for the Hajj season 1445 AH.
The minister was accompanied by General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, and Assistant Minister of Transport and Logistics Services Ahmed bin Sufyan Al-Hassan.
The tour included the opening and launch of modern technologies to serve pilgrims. The minister visited the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and inspected the operations center, the bus station, and the Haramain High Speed Railway Station. He visited the media center in the Hajj and Umrah lounge complex, the Jeddah Islamic Port, and the security control center in Al Nawariya.
The minister inaugurated several modern technologies, including the command-and-control center at Jeddah Islamic Port; the mobile control room, which contributes to raising compliance with regulations and requirements and upgrading the quality of
services provided to pilgrims; and the taxi application, which provides multiple means of transportation by modern vehicles, equipped with the best services and multiple payment methods, including electronic payment. He also inaugurated automated vehicle monitoring technology, with a 99 % accuracy rate determining the type of vehicle, and technical inspection technology on the side of the road via mobile stations that contribute to inspecting vehicles quickly and accurately.
