Minor girl raped repeatedly in Oshana

OSHAKATI: A seven - year - old girl was allegedly raped on several occasions by a 17 - year - old boy in the same household at Mkwanambwa area in Ongwediva . The Namibian Police Force crime investigations coordinator for the Oshana Region , Deputy Commissioner Frederick Ndjadila said the incidents reportedly occurred during 2020 and during October 2023 . The victim was first raped while she was only three years old , when the suspect was also younger . ' It is alleged that the victim informed an uncle that she was bleeding after being raped , and the uncle informed the stepfather to take the victim to the hospital , but the child was not taken to hospital ,' Ndjadila said . ' Investigation revealed further that the same child was first raped in 2020 by the same suspect and was not taken to the hospital , but was rather bathed with salt water ,' he said . Ndjadila indicated that the matter was only reported on Monday to the police , nearly a year after the last incident , by the victim ' s 26 - year - old moth er .
