NamPol officers undergo public speaking training to enhance communication skills

Mariental: Senior officers of the Namibian Police Force ( NamPol ) are attending a five - day course on public speaking at Mariental which is aimed at enhancing their communication skills . ' This public speaking course has been carefully designed to sharpen these skills , equipping each of you with the confidence and techniques needed to become more effective communicators ,' NamPol Inspector General , Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo , said during the official opening of the training here on Monday . He reminded the officers that they are the face of the Namibian Police Force , saying when they communicate with the public , they not only represent themselves , they also represent the values , dedication , and mission of the entire force . The course is being facilitated by the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management ( Nipam ). There are 20 senior officers from various regions in attendance , of which nine are heads of directorate , eight regional commanders , and three , heads of divisio n . The training ends on Friday.
