Tunis: The Administrative Court has received 4 challenges as part of the electoral dispute concerning the elections for members of the National Council of Regions and Districts (CNRD), including 3 appeals against the preliminary results of the elections and an appeal against a first-instance ruling on candidacies, said court spokesman Fayçal Bouguerra. With regard to the three challenges against the preliminary results, the court decided to reject two of them on formal grounds, the same source told TAP on Monday. The third appeal will be examined on Tuesday, he added. Bouguerra also pointed out that the Administrative Court had not yet set a date for the session to be devoted to examining the appeal against a first-instance ruling on candidacies for the elections of members of the CNRD. On March 28, the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) announced the preliminary results of the elections for members of the CNRD, the second chamber of parliament. The body had announced the postponement until M arch 29, 2024 of the elections for representatives of the Sousse Council to the CNRD. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
