National Salvation Front calls for release of Rached Ghannouchi

The National Salvation Front (FSN) called for the release of Ennahdha movement President Rached Ghannouchi and all those detained in the same case, reads a statement of the FSN.

The arrest of Ghannouchi and other prominent figures of the movement comes as part of a campaign that targeted over 20 opposition activists, the FSN added.

The detainees are being prosecuted on “fake” accusations, the statement said, reiterating that “there is no valid evidence to detain them for over two months.”

The ruling power will be held accountable before the law against “any mistreatment that might undermine the health of Rached Ghannouchi, knowing that he suffers from chronic diseases.”
