New library for visually impaired students inaugurated at FLSH Sousse

A new university library for visually impaired students was inaugurated last week at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences (FLSH) in Sousse. The dean of the FLSH in Sousse, Kamel Jerfel, said that the creation of this library is a first in Tunisia. The FLSH directorate has set up a pavilion that initially contains around a hundred books printed in Braille, out of a total of 500 books provided by the Sousse Young Chamber of Commerce (JCI Sousse), he told TAP. This initiative is part of the FLSH's social responsibility to provide all its students, 20 of whom are visually impaired, with equal learning conditions and opportunities to succeed. Jerfel also recalled that the university has provided these students with computers specially designed for their needs to facilitate their learning.
