The Namibia Industrial Development Agency ( NIDA ) is seeking investors for feedlot development , fodder , and feed cultivation at its Kavango Cattle Ranch facility in the Kavango West Region . The agency ' s recently appointed Chief Executive Officer ( CEO ), Richwell Lukonga in a statement here Sunday on the Industrialisation Agenda in Namibia said the investment also includes possible biomass production , further enhancing its economic impact . ' This investment is part of the flagship projects NIDA identified during the transition period since its establishment in November 2018 ,' Lukonga said . The CEO said NIDA has been mandated to execute business incentives to support industrialisation , facilitate , develop , coordinate , and to foster partnerships across all spheres of government , the private sector , and relevant stakeholders that may assist it to achieve its objectives . He said in the Kavango East Region , NIDA is advancing an agri - business project in Divundu , along with special agri - schem e projects such as the Musese and Shitemo green schemes . Lukonga further said with a primary goal of generating employment , reducing poverty , and promoting the manufacturing of value - added products , NIDA has allocated industrial land for private sector development in towns such as Tsumeb , Otavi , Divundu , Walvis Bay , Karibib , Okahandja , and Opuwo . NIDA ' s industrial agenda revolves around five key initiatives - youth empowerment and employment creation , entrepreneurship development , investment facilitation and attraction , export - oriented industrial growth and import substitution Source: The Namibia News Agency
