The number of Tunisian hirees overseas under technical cooperation rose by 20.2% to 3257 during the first nine monhts of 2023, compared with the same period last year (2710), said the Tunisian Technical Cooperation Agency (ATCT).
As such, the overall number of Tunisian guest workers was up to 24143 till last September 30.
The healthcare sector is in the lead with 1246 medics and paramedics, i.e. 38% of placements abroad, followed by education (803).
Germany tops the list of countries hiring Tunisian nationals with 570 guest workers, followed by Canada (535), Saudi Arabia (410) and France (406).
