BRIDGE CAMP – Operation Vala Konke is yielding positive results in the Chris Hani District. A task team arrested an alleged murder suspect and also recovered an unlicensed firearm and dagga.
On Monday, 09 January 2023 at about 21:00, members from POP and TRT Units followed up on information about a wanted murder suspect at St Mark’s Locality Bridge Camp policing precinct.
Members executed a search warrant a residential premises where a search was conducted. A wanted suspect, aged 35, was found and nabbed. During the search, police seized an unlicensed firearm and dagga with a street value of R900. The suspect was charged for murder, possession of unlicensed firearm and dealing in dagga.
The Chris Hani District Commissioner, Major General Rudolph Adolph commended the members for their sterling work.
