The Office of Tunisians Abroad (French: OTE), on Wednesday, signed two partnership agreements with the National Family and Population Board (ONFP) Office national de la famille et de la population (ONFP) and the National Centre for Adult Education, on the sidelines of a national conference on the migrant family held in Tunis. In a statement to TAP, Mounir Kharbi, Director General of the OTE, stressed that the agreement signed with the ONFP aims to strengthen the partnership between the two parties so that the families of Tunisians abroad living in Tunisia can benefit from the services provided by the ONFP. In addition, the agreement signed with the National Centre for Adult Education aims to strengthen networking between OTE's regional delegations and the centre, with a view to reducing the poverty rate among expats' families living in Tunisia and promoting Arabic language learning among the Tunisian community abroad. The official said OTE's 12 cultural centres abroad have seen a strong demand from Tunis ian expatriates to learn Arabic. On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, OTE honoured a Tunisian woman living in France for her commitment to learning Arabic at the age of 70. As a reward for her efforts, OTE paid for her trip and stay in Tunisia for the first time in 30 years. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
