Otjiwarongo man arrested for alleged murder of ex-girlfriend

A 29 - year - old man was arrested on Monday at Otjiwarongo after he allegedly stabbed to death his ex - girlfriend with an unknown object . The deceased was identified by her close relatives as the 24 - year - old Amanda Khuxas from Otjiwarongo . The Namibian Police Force ( NamPol ) head of community affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region , Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha on Tuesday told Nampa that the incident is suspected to have occurred between 08h00 and 08h30 on Monday in the area of Tsaraxa - Aibes informal settlement and Kathlahong location in Orwetoveni residential area . According to Mbeha the woman was allegedly stabbed in the left side of the chest once and died on her way to the Orwetoveni clinic shortly after the incident . " The motive behind the alleged murder is still unknown to the police , and the suspect is expected to appear in the Otjiwarongo Magistrate ' s Court on Wednesday ," Mbeha added .
