The Namibian Police Force ( NamPol ) in the Oshikoto Region has recorded the death of a 65 - year - old man following a head - on collision between a truck and pickup truck on Tuesday . According to the NamPol ' s Crime Investigations Coordinator for Oshikoto , Deputy Commissioner Titus Ekandjo , on Thursday , the incident happened on Tuesday at around 19h55 on the Ondangwa - Omuthiya B1 road , at Onandomba village in the Onyaanya Constituency . " It is alleged that the driver of a metallic black motor vehicle , a Toyota D4D pickup , reg N19091ND , was driving from Okatope Police Station heading towards Omuthiya direction when he swerved on to the opposite lane in the face of oncoming vehicle and collided head - on with a white Hino truck reg N213050W , which was traveling from Omuthiya ," reported Ekandjo . He added that the driver of the pickup truck died on the spot . Ekandjo further reported that the driver of the truck and his passenger were not injured .
