Tunis: The Tunisian women's petanque team claimed gold in the final of Africa Championships, beating their Moroccan counterparts (B) 13-3 on Sunday in Marrakech, Morocco. Tunisia's team, made up of players Mouna Béji, Asma Belli, Ahlem Hadj Hassan and Ameni Letaief, had beaten the Beninese team in the semi-final 13-3. For their part, the men's team, comprising players Khaled Boughriba, Mejdi Hammami, Lassaad El May and Sofien Ben Brahim, settled for silver after losing the final to Senegal 2-13. Tunisian Khaled Boughriba Saturday bagged gold in precision shooting, after defeating his Cameroonian opponent in the final.
