correspondent, Sofien Manai) - Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani, Tuesday, had a meeting with several state officials and senior executives of international financial bodies as part of his participation in the 54thWorld Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland from January 16-18. Hachani met with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso as well as Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF) Wamekle Mene. The meetings focused on ways to fund the development process in Tunisia in all its dimensions, particularly the social dimension as well as boost financial and technical cooperation. Hachani spoke of the challenges facing Tunisia, particularly in terms of public funds following the global geopolitical tensions. The heads of the financial bodies expressed full commitment to bring further support to Tunisia and help it achieve economic recovery. They called o n the Tunisian government to adopt more reforms. The PM also met with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. They discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation. Hachani is leading a the Tunisian delegation to the 54th World Economic Forum (Davos 2024), whose works officially opened, on Monday January 15, in Davos in the Canton of Graubnden east of Switzerland.
