Johannesburg: The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) has announced a dedicated train service to accommodate rugby fans attending the Emirates Lions vs DHL Stormers game at the Emirates Airline Park (Ellis Park Stadium) in Johannesburg this weekend. According to South African Government News Agency, this special service will run every 15 minutes from Park Station to the stadium and back, starting at 11am on Saturday, 15 February. The final Metrorail train from Ellis Park will depart at 6:45pm. Rugby enthusiasts are advised to utilize public transportation options, including e-hailing services or the Gautrain, to reach Park Station. The last Gautrain leaves Park Station at 8:30pm. Limited paid parking will be available at Park Station for those opting to drive their private vehicles. The brief three-minute journey to and from Emirates Airline Park will be priced at R20 for a return ticket, available online through Ticketpro for the convenience of fans. Tickets for the Gautrain must be purchased se parately. PRASA has expressed its commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient transport solutions for all South Africans. Fans are encouraged to purchase their train tickets early, either online at www.ticketpro.co.za or at any station kiosks in Gauteng.
