President Kais Saied stressed the duty of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) to ensure compliance with all the constitutional provisions relating to the electoral process, particularly Article 89 and the Organic Law on Elections and Referendums and impose a legal penalty for any violation by any party. This was at a meeting with president of ISIE, Farouk Bouasker on Friday at Carthage Palace, according to a Presidency statement. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Republic noted that Tunisia had respected all the dates on which the sovereign Tunisian people had expressed their will. These included the referendum on the draft constitution on July 25, 2022, which was preceded by a national consultation and the elections of members of the Assembly of the People's Representatives and then the elections of the members of the National Council of Districts and Regions.
