Tunis: Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani met on Tuesday with the freshly appointed Minister of Education, Saloua Abbassi, at the Government Palace in the Kasbah. The Prime Minister urged the Minister to exert all possible efforts to give a further qualitative leap to the work of the Ministry of Education in the higher interest of the nation, according to a statement from the Prime Ministry. President Kais Saied decided on Monday to dismiss Education Minister Mohamed Ali Boughdiri and appoint Salwa Abbassi as his successor, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic. Mohamed Ali Boughdiri was appointed Minister of Education, replacing former Education Minister Fathi Slaouti, following a partial cabinet reshuffle by President Kais Said on January 29, 2023.
