The Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly started on Wednesday the distribution of the 5th batch of financing agreements under the RAIDET national programme for women's entrepreneurship. This batch includes 338 women-led projects, taking the overall number of projects funded since the creation of the RAIDET programme to 3,679, with nearly TND 35.6 million in funding. Funded by means of TND 3.5 million, the 338 projects are expected to generate 602 direct jobs, reads a ministry press release. Tozeur took the lion's share as regards funded projects (41), followed by BEn Arous (33), Jendouba (32), Sousse (29), Beja (24), Sidi Bouzid (19), Ariana (19), Kebili (18), Tunis (16), Kairouan (15), Monastir (15), Djerba (14) and Zaghouan (13). However, the number of projects to be funded in Kasserine, Gafsa, Sfax, Nabeul, Siliana, Tataouine and Kef varies between 1 and 12. 57.4% of the funded projects are small businesses, 20.4% (services sector), 19.8% (crafts) and 2.4% (trade). 14.300 women are re gistered on the RAIDET platform.
