Tunis: Muslims and Christians need to pool efforts to disseminate the values of understanding, peace and solidarity with peoples deprived from their rights, mainly the Palestinian people, said Religious Affairs Minister Brahim Chaibi. This was as he met Tuesday with Vatican apostolic nuncio in Tunisia with residence in Algiers Kurian Mathew Vayalunkal. The latter, on a visit to Tunisia on March 17-19, handed the minister a written message from the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue in the Vatican, reads a Religious Affairs Ministry. The Vatican diplomat and archbishop of tunis Mgr Ilario Antoniazzi, who was accompanying him on this visit, offered greetings on Ramadan. Kurian Mathew Vayalunkal said the Tunisian State is committed to securing the best living conditions to the Christian community.
