Tunis: The number of road accidents fell by 25.38% to 2,284 from the start of the year till June 28, compared with the same period last year, updated statistics from the National Road Safety Observatory show. The number of road fatalities rose by 11.62% to 502, while the number of injuries felll by 23.18% to 3,185 compared with the same period last year. A total of 3,185 people were injured in these accidents, down 23.18% compared with the same period last year. 41.81% of the accidents were caused by inattention and lack of vigilance while driving.
