Tunis: The role of banking and financial institutions in boosting the national economy and investment as a force of proposals and of a driving force for develoment projects took centre stage at a meeting held on Monday between Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani and President of the Banking and Financial Council (CBF) Neji Ghandri. The reforms underway including the bill on the amendment of the Trade Code, the bill on combating financial exclusion and the draft foreign exchange code, were discussed during the meeting. Hachani pointed out the need to involve the banking and financial sector in initiatives aimed to achieve growth, improve the business climate and encourage innovative and value-added projects.
