Victor Malcorra, Agustin Sandez and Kevin Ortiz were on target as Rosario Central cruised to a 3-0 home win over leaders Velez Sarsfield in Argentina's Primera Division on Tuesday. The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute when Damian Fernandez was shown a straight red card for a bad challenge on Malcorra. 37-year-old winger Malcorra converted the resultant spot-kick before Sandez doubled the lead with a 76th-minute header. Ortiz completed the rout by firing home five minutes from time after he was set up by Gaspar Duarte. The result at Estadio El Gigante left Rosario Central 12th in the 28-team standings with 22 points from 16 outings. Velez maintains a three-point advantage over second-placed Talleres Cordoba. In Tuesday's only other Primera Division fixture, Tigre was held to a 1-1 home draw by Independiente. Source: The Namibia News Agency
