Run-off local elections candidate in El Amel East in Metlaoui (Gafsa governorate) Ameur Nticha centred his manifesto on upgrading the region's basic infrastrucutre. Nticha, who received 386 votes in the first round (27.53% of the votes), kicked off his campaign on Saturday and told TAP that he undertakes to enhance drinking water and sewerage networks, set up a sports hall in El Amel housing estate and build a leisure area. The candidates further indicated that his programme focuses on the environmental aspect, especially through the collection of household waste, the development of the imada public square, the setting up of a post office and a basic healthcare centre.
