The campaign of the candidates in the run-off local elections scheduled for February 4, 2024 in the governorates of Sidi Bouzid and Sousse focused on the presentation of various programmes. In the governorate of Sidi Bouzid, the platforms of the candidates in the electoral constituency of Al Ahwaz (delegation of Sidi Bouzid Est) focused on improving the drinking water and infrastructure sectors, guaranteeing health services and improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups. In Sousse, candidates in the Erriadh constituency focused on improving roads and developing health services. The candidates also promised to overcome obstacles to stalled projects in the region, fight congestion, strengthen cultural activities, create a multidisciplinary training centre and implement blocked public projects. Also in the Sousse governorate, in the Bouhsina constituency, the main promises made by the candidates in their electoral platforms were to secure a budget for the implementation of local development plans, to encourage investment in the delegation to create new jobs and to set up public gardens.
