Run-off local elections candidates in El Ain constituency (South Sfax delegation in Sfax 2) Sami Ghorbal and Zouhour Bouaine presented their election programmes. Ghorbal, who received 306 votes in the 1st round (27.77 of all votes), told TAP that if he wins a seat he will undertake to solve the rainwater harvesting in some areas in the region and to endeavour to connect all residential areas to the water and electricity networks. He also promised to encourage the use of alternative energy by using photovoltaic panels in public lighting. For her part, Bouaine who got 283 of the votes (25.68%), focused her programme on launching a renewable and alternative energy project by using solar panels in public lighting. She will further provide financial support to small entrepreneurs and craftspeople in the region, relaunch the annual El Ain festinal and work to create leisure clubs for children and youth.
