Fifty candidates are vying for seats in 25 constituencies in Ben Arous as part of the second round of local elections. Fifty-five candidates, out of 218, were elected in the first round in 25 constituencies over 12 delegations, President of the regional election authority (French: IRIE) Rachid El Mhamdi told TAP. Ezzahra and Ben Arous delegations are not invovled in the run-off. To ensure the smooth running of the second round, the IRIE set up 70 polling stations and 67 voting centres and mobilised 660 staff members and 26 observers to monitor the election campaign.
