Pretoria: The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed the dismissal of Major General Feroz Khan in terms of Regulation 9(7)(b) of the SAPS Discipline Regulations. This dismissal comes after Major General Khan failed to appear before the designated senior officer responsible for handling the expeditious disciplinary process.
According to South African Government News Agency, the SAPS emphasized its commitment to accountability, discipline, and professional conduct within the organization. In a statement released on Wednesday, SAPS stated that no member, regardless of rank or position, is exempt from the law or the applicable disciplinary framework.
SAPS further noted that as the matter has been the subject of legal proceedings, it will continue to respect and abide by court decisions and provide additional information where legally permissible. The dismissal of Major General Khan reflects SAPS's ongoing efforts to enforce strict adherence to its disciplinary regulations.
