SAWS Forecasts Scattered Showers and Thundershowers Across South Africa

Pretoria:The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has announced that a surface trough will be semi-permanent over the western interior of the country this week, while a surface high-pressure system will extend its ridge into the southern and eastern regions.

According to South African Government News Agency, this weather pattern will lead to isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in some areas of the south and east. Monday's forecast predicts partly cloudy, windy, and cool to warm conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers expected.

SAWS has confirmed that there are no severe weather warnings at this time. However, the public and stakeholders are advised to regularly check official SAWS forecasts and warnings for updates as the situation develops. It is also recommended that the public be cautious of unofficial information and avoid sharing unverified reports.
