Self-entrepreneur platform could be ready by end of 2023 or early 2024 (Adel Chouari)

The platform dedicated to self-entrepreneurship should be ready by the end of the current year or early 2024, at a time when several professional organisations are calling for the imperative inclusion of self-employment in this platform, said Director General of the National Centre of the Business Register, Adel Chouari. He added at a meeting held by the Arab Institute of Business Managers (IACE) Wednesday, that the platform of the National Business Register (RNE) will be made available to the sub-register of the self-entrepreneur. Chouari said a technical committee formed under the supervision of the Prime Ministry and consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Employment, the Ministry of Social Affairs and several structures, including the RNE, is currently working on the preparation of the decree regulating the work of the self-entrepreneur platform. According to Decree-Law No. 2020-33 of 10 June 2020, an auto-entrepreneur is any natural person of Tunisian nationality who carries out an activity as an individual in the industrial, agricultural, commercial or craft sector, with the exception of non-commercial professions, and whose annual turnover does not exceed 75,000 dinars. Chouari also said that the RNE is working to conclude 50 agreements with public companies as part of the exchange of information in real time.
