Pretoria: The North West Provincial Government: will launch the Accelerated Service Delivery Programme in the Moses Kotane Local Municipality on Monday. The programme, known as Thuntsha Lerole Reloaded, will commence at Uitkyk village near Madikwe on 15 December 2025.
According to South African Government News Agency, this marks the final segment of Thuntsha Lerole for the year, with the next rollout slated for January 2026. The upcoming programme aims to benefit communities in Uitkyk, Brakuil, Madikwe, Koffiekraal, and Vrede villages, offering services such as the distribution of agricultural packages, food parcels, and tree-planting activities.
Healthcare awareness and promotional activities will be emphasized to enhance public health education. Road blading will take place from Koffiekraal to Uitkyk and from Uitkyk to Madikwe to improve road quality and support service delivery in the area’s rural sectors. Additionally, the Clean Cities Campaign will be launched to tackle waste management challenges and promote cleanliness in public spaces.
‘All provincial government departments and state-owned entities will be on-site to render a range of essential services and address service-related queries from the community members,’ stated the provincial government’s advisory. The Moses Kotane Local Municipality is one of the ten local municipalities prioritised for Phase 5 of the Accelerated Service Delivery Programme due to challenges like road maintenance backlogs and limited access to proper sanitation.
Premier Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi will lead the day’s events, accompanied by MECs, Mayors, and local traditional leaders.
