Siliana-IRIE: Submission of 9 candidacies for election of Council of Regions and Districts

Siliana: The independent regional authority for the elections in Siliana, on Friday, received 9 candidacies for the election of members of the national council for the regions and districts. Head of the IRIE in Siliana, Ahed Belhaj Amor, told TAP that the submission of candidatures will continue until March 23 (from 8am to 12.30pm), adding that 11 members of the Siliana regional council and a representative of the region on the council of the third district, are standing for this election. The installation of the council of the third district, made up of six members including one representative, took place last Wednesday. The Siliana regional council, chaired by Abdelhafid Mejri, has eleven members, including one female representative. Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
