A small Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani at the Kasbah on Monday decided a series of economic measures as part of preparations for the month of Ramadan 2024. It was decided to take the necessary measures to supply the market with basic commodities, to intensify controls to combat speculation, and to strengthen the "producer to consumer" points of sale. The meeting, attended by the ministers concerned, agreed to re-organise rail and bus timetables and to ensure the availability of the national and regional transport companies' fleets. It also stressed the need to diversify and enrich cultural programmes in parallel with the organisation of fairs, while taking into account the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territories.
