SOS Children’s Village in Siliana receives permission to begin reconstruction work

SILIANA: The SOS Children's Village in Siliana officially received permission on Tuesday to begin reconstruction work worth TND 8 million, said the village's director Atef Labadi. The infrastructure of the facility has deteriorated considerably and is in danger of collapsing, he told TAP. "Five houses in the village have been evacuated by decision of the civil protection authorities, while the families concerned have been moved to rented accommodation," he explained. He called on civil society representatives and businessmen to help finance the reconstruction of the SOS village in Siliana, the only childcare centre in the north-west and centre-west.
